Fun Flannel Rice Bags
To start the year off right, the first sewing project of 2023 was some rice bags for the school clinics in which I work. Using the serger/over lock machine made this feel like the easiest project ever and the simple addition of some scrap grosgrain ribbon for "tags" made the little hot packs look very swishy. All the fabrics were ends from a napkin making project that required no additional cutting or math, so this was 100% my kind of project. They turned out very well and have already assisted in several miraculous recoveries among the teens and tweens of our local school district.
